This event is for graduate teachers in their first 1-2 years of teaching in a Christian school.
Welcome to teaching! More importantly, welcome to the business of ‘student formation’ which is our core business in a Christian school. Now that you’ve worked through a few weeks of teaching, planning, marking and becoming familiar with school systems and digital platforms, it is a good chance to come and enjoy a day of professional learning that will unpack what it means to ‘teach Christianly’ and all that this entails – from teacher identity to curriculum and lesson planning.
We are running a New Staff induction day for graduates now teaching in Christian schools. Come and enjoy a day of connecting with others at a similar point in their teaching journey, and professional guidance on how to approach teaching from a ‘biblical perspective.’ It is definitely more than just a devotion or prayer at each end of a lesson!
