Chairo Christian School is a non-denominational Christian school with 1,900 Kinder to Year 12 students attending five picturesque campuses in West and South Gippsland, the Latrobe Valley and the south-eastern outskirts of Melbourne.
Our mission is to provide excellence in Christ-centred education in partnership with families within a caring Christian community. In doing this, we aim to prepare students thoroughly for further study, careers, service and life in general.
We are currently seeking the services of a dedicated Risk & Compliance Manager based at our Drouin campus, commencing in Term 3 this year.
The Risk & Compliance Manager will assist the Executive Principal to manage the school’s risk and compliance across all campuses. Some key responsibilities will include the following:
- Setting a godly example to students and fellow staff members through their practice, manner, relationships and general lifestyle
- In collaboration with the members of the Executive Leadership Team, assisting in the identification and development of appropriate risk management systems, procedures and controls
- Working with and training new staff members in risk and compliance awareness and implementation
- Working closely with staff members (both directly and via managers) to ensure risk and compliance obligations are met
- Ensuring appropriate culture, systems, processes and practices are regularly evaluated, planned, documented and audited
Having ideally obtained relevant experience in a leadership role within a school setting, the successful candidate will also possess the following important characteristics:
- Demonstrated commitment to the school’s Statement of Faith
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to develop plans, systems and processes
- Friendly and professional demeanour
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- Diligent and meticulous work habits with a keen eye for detail
- Ability to build strong partnering relationships and communication channels with all members of the school community
