CEN Victoria is very pleased to be partnering with Ranges TEC to provide this Youth Mental Health First Aid Training Course. Christian schools ideally should be safe places for those suffering mental illness and those who care for them. Our deep hope is to be communities that respond graciously and hopefully because of the hope and grace that are the basis of our faith. To do this requires specific training from experts who have great wisdom and experience in this area.
The course will be presented by Tim Allchin who is the RTO Manager at Ranges TEC and has been a teacher and trainer for many years. He has significant lived experience of caring for those with mental health issues and a passion for enabling a Godly response in other people when they are in these circumstances. Tim is eager to help and equip organisations in developing a gracious and hopeful culture in this space.
The course outline looks at common mental health issues facing 1 in 4 young people each year, exploring the ways in which we can actually start a conversation and more closely defining what comprises a gracious and hopeful response. There is an online pre-work component which is an integral part of the preparation for the face to face day. This will be sent out to participants once registration is complete and payment received.
In 2025 we are pleased to extend this invite to our CSA colleagues to access this valuable training.
