We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic TAS (Technological and Applied Studies) Assistant to join our team.  The successful candidate will support our Food Technology and Textiles departments, working closely with teachers and students to enhance their learning experience.  The TAS assistant will report to the Head of TAS.  This role is part-time, working Thursday and Friday.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist teachers in preparing and organising classroom materials and resources.
  • Support students during practical lessons, ensuring a safe and productive learning environment.
  • Maintain and manage equipment and supplies in the Food Technology and Textiles rooms. Utilising the online platform ‘Foodie’ and Woolworths online shopping.
  • Help set up and clean up for practical lessons, including food preparation and textile projects.
  • Provide administrative support such as record-keeping and inventory management.
  • Ensure adherence to health and safety regulations during all activities.
  • Assist in organising and providing meals for some staff and parent events.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Relevant qualifications or experience in Food Technology and/or Textiles is desirable.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
