Bayside Christian College is seeking to appoint a suitably skilled and experienced Senior Science Technician to commence at the start of the 2023 school year. The role is permanent part-time, 30.4 hours per week (0.8 FTE) during school terms.

Bayside Christian College is a coeducational Christian school offering Kindergarten through to Year 12. The College is located in Langwarrin South, at the gateway to the Mornington Peninsula. The College’s ~600 students enjoy learning within a caring and friendly atmosphere set within beautiful natural surrounds.

Person specification and selection criteria:

  • A sound understanding of and commitment to the Christian mission and philosophy of the College
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Good organisational ability, capacity to multitask and excellent attention to detail
  • Displays initiative, common sense and problem-solving ability
  • Good time management skills and the ability to set priorities, meet deadlines and work efficiently
  • Ability to work autonomously under limited direction and instruction
  • Must hold a Diploma of Laboratory Technology (or equivalent)
  • Must hold a WWCC (employee) and a Level 2 First Aid Certificate (or be willing to obtain).
