Approx 0.7 – 0.8 FTE over 5 days
Chairo Christian School is a non-denominational Christian school with 1,800 Kinder to Year 12 students attending five picturesque campuses in West and South Gippsland, the Latrobe Valley and the south-eastern outskirts of Melbourne.
Our mission is to provide excellence in Christ-centred education in partnership with families within a caring Christian community. In doing this, we aim to prepare students thoroughly for further study, careers, service and life in general.
We are currently seeking the services of a dedicated Office Manager / Executive Assistant at our Pakenham campus, commencing in Term 4 this year. The role will involve providing oversight of administrative staff and operations, and providing exemplary, efficient and professional support to the principal and other members of the campus leadership team.
Some key responsibilities will include the following:
- Set a godly example to students and fellow staff members through their practice, manner, relationships and general lifestyle
- Provide administrative support with regards to appointments and calendar management
- Coordinate and cater for meetings
- Supervise a team of administration staff and first aid officers
- Provide pastoral care to administrative staff members
- Assist with problem-solving related to administration challenges
- Support general office duties as needed
- Provide hospitality, logistics and support for guests and visitors to the school
Having obtained relevant experience in administration, the successful candidate will also possess the following important characteristics:
- Demonstrated commitment to the school’s Statement of Faith
- Well-developed interpersonal and communication skills
- Friendly and professional demeanour
- Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
- High standard of keyboard skills and computer literacy, including MS Word, MS Excel and Adobe InDesign
- Attention to detail with high proof-reading skills and ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality
