Position Overview:  We are seeking a passionate and experienced Head of Student Wellbeing to join our College on a full time basis to lead our wellbeing team and promote the holistic wellbeing of our P-12 student body.  This position offers a unique opportunity to make a significant impact on the lives of young people within a supportive and collaborative educational community.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide strategic leadership and direction for the development and implementation of comprehensive student wellbeing programs and initiatives
  • Lead student behaviour management processes, working closely with Deputy Principals to ensure consistency across the College.
  • Oversee a team of wellbeing professionals and support staff, fostering a collaborative and inclusive team culture.
  • Collaborate with teachers, parents, administrators, and external stakeholders to support the holistic wellbeing of students
  • Implement proactive measures to promote positive mental health and emotional resilience among students.
  • Respond effectively to student wellbeing concerns and crises, providing appropriate support and intervention.
  • Uphold the Christian values and ethos of the College in all aspects of student wellbeing practices, interventions and behaviour management.

About You, Qualifications and Experience:

  • A committed Christian, active in your local church (pastoral reference required) and in full agreement with the College’s evangelical Statement of Christian Beliefs.
  • A relevant tertiary qualification in counselling, psychology, social work, education, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in a leadership role within student wellbeing, pastoral care, or counselling.
  • Strong understanding of child and adolescent development, mental health issues, and best practices in student support services.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills.
