About the Role

Reporting to the Facilities Manager, the Facilities Supervisor plays a vital role in the coordination, supervision, and delivery of all maintenance, grounds, and facilities operations across the College.

The successful candidate will combine strong leadership capability with practical, hands-on skills to support the daily operations of the College and contribute to the planning and delivery of maintenance and capital works.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the Facilities Manager in delivering efficient, cost-effective facilities management across the College
  • Supervise, train, and coordinate maintenance, grounds, and cleaning staff
  • Plan, prioritise, and oversee daily maintenance and cleaning tasks
  • Undertake and oversee maintenance across buildings, grounds, infrastructure, and facilities
  • Manage contractors including induction, supervision, and completion of works
  • Support and contribute to minor capital works and infrastructure projects
  • Assist with budget management, purchasing, and expenditure control
  • Ensure compliance with Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements and College policies
  • Coordinate maintenance scheduling, asset management, and reporting
  • Support setup and pack down for College events and activities
  • Provide coverage for the Facilities Manager as required

  • A commitment to the Christian vision, mission and ethos of ACC
  • Proven experience in facilities, grounds, maintenance, or property management
  • Strong leadership and team supervision skills
  • Excellent organisational, planning, and problem-solving abilities
  • Sound knowledge of WHS, compliance, and risk management
  • Experience managing contractors and coordinating works
  • Ability to work hands-on in outdoor and physical environments
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

Requirements

  • A committed Christian, active in a local church and in full agreement with the College’s Statement of Christian Beliefs
  • Current First Aid and CPR certification
  • Working with Children Blue Card (for paid employment) or ability to obtain
  • Relevant trade qualification or equivalent experience
  • Construction Industry White Card (desirable)
  • Experience in a school or similar environment (highly regarded)

The Facilities Supervisor is a key role within our Resource Team, responsible for ensuring our College facilities, grounds, and infrastructure are maintained to a high standard, supporting a safe and effective learning environment for students and staff.
