Director of Wellbeing

Dubbo Christian School is a modern, growing and strongly resourced school in a beautiful setting in regional NSW. It is a co-educational, non-denominational Preschool to Year 12 school with over 750 enrolments and a mission “to provide authentic, responsive and high quality education that is Bible based and Christ-centred to prepare, equip and transform lives”.

The successful applicant will:

• have appropriate tertiary qualifications as a teacher, including NSW teacher accreditation and hold a current valid Working with Children Check
• have familiarity with the NSW & Australian curriculum
• be an active and passionate Christian, able to accept and live out the BCE Statement of Faith
• be able to develop, promote and protect a Christian ethos and culture of the school through team oriented, collaborative Christian leadership as outlined in the school’s Educational Charter
• have exceptional interpersonal skills with an ability to communicate effectively and sensitively across a broad range of audiences throughout the school community
• have an excellent level of biblical literacy and a sound reformed theological understanding of the Bible
• have a passion for student wellbeing and spiritual formation that merges faithful Christian living with current best practice and research.
• have the ability to be solution-focused and objective in your problem solving and decision making whilst adhering to sound Christian principles and being sensitive to the needs of others
• possess a firm commitment to your own professional learning and contribute to the broader Christian Education community, including willingness to undertake post-graduate studies as appropriate
• demonstrated  passion for, and skill in teaching, including a commitment to the DCS Teaching & Learning Plan
• possess high level communication, analytical, strategic planning, administration and problem–solving skills.

This role attracts a Position of Responsibility Level 3 Allowance in accordance with the NSW Christian Schools Teaching Staff Multi-Enterprise Agreement 2021.

The commencement of this role will be 18 January 2024.
