CEN National Conference 2017 - including AGM

The CEN National Conference (which includes the AGM for member associations) is a pivotal event in the life of CEN and its members. It’s a wonderful time of inspiration and for being equipped for the task of Christian education in your school. Just as your school and association are stronger when members are working together, so it is with the association of Christian schools associations; CEN.

This year our theme is “Stronger Together: Building Associations”. This draws on our Stronger Together strategic intent. We know that this is an area that boards find challenging. Following the recent research done by our State Executive Officers, and in conjunction with the Associations Task Group (on behalf of the board), we will focus our attention for this National Conference and AGM in ensuring that you as a board feel supported and equipped to grow your community in an understanding of Christian Education which may result in additions to your association and in turn, strength to your board. To this end, we encourage you to send someone from your board or on your staff team who has a particular focus on association growth.

We are pleased to announce that this year we are welcoming Dr Darren Iselin as our keynote speaker. You will recall that at the last minute, Darren was unable to join us last year and we are excited to be ‘trying again’ and engaging with Darren. His research into Christian Schools remaining distinctive to their vision and mission is very sobering and helpful for our context.

This year the dinner (from 6:30pm) will focus on a formal farewell for Ken Dickens. The AGM dinner is inclusive in the cost of the event.
