Regular training and networking is an important element of effective governance. In support of CEN school boards across Victoria, the Victorian State Council are running the first of multiple training events in 2024. The purpose of this session is to learn in community about key aspects of school governance, the changing legislative environment for schools, how to enhance and strengthen the crucial relationship between the Board Chair and the Principal, and to explore case studies and scenarios through discussions and workshopping possible solutions.
If you have board members who have joined in the last 2-3 years, then this will be helpful in reinforcing learning as part of their board induction. Additionally, the hope is that this event will be a great opportunity for board members to connect with one another and build a stronger network between schools.
