'Build up – Step Up' Developing Leaders Conference

The Developing Leaders Conference is for aspiring and developing leaders who believe that they are called to take up leadership in Christian Education.
Our 2017 Developing Leaders Conference equips the next generation of leaders by unpacking what it means, and what it takes, to lead in Christian Education in the future. This year’s conference begins by working to build up leaders by providing them with a strong understanding of the biblical foundations of leadership supported by a range of practical tools for leadership.
To encourage and inspire future leaders, to answer the call and step up as Gospel centred leaders in the prevailing cultural context, participants will be provided with an opportunity to explore how to best respond to the challenges of leadership, as they seek to take on positions of responsibility, grow in capacity and serve faithfully in Christian Education.
Join us as we explore topics like:
- A Biblical foundation of leadership
- The breadth of leadership - Some tools for the toolbox
- Our cultural context and the impact on leadership
- Leading in your cultural moment
- Leading without a title and the challenges of leadership
Don’t miss out as we hear from speakers including Dr Rod Thompson, Justin Cook and the Hon Mr Terry Mills, as we explore the call of leadership.
$475 per person. Cost includes:
- All conference sessions
- Monday 4th September – Conference Dinner @ Mantra Esplanade
- Tuesday 5th September - Morning tea/lunch/afternoon tea/Delegates Reception (sponsored by NT Christian Schools)
- Wednesday 6th September - Morning tea/lunch/afternoon tea (Note – dinner not included)
- Thursday 7th September – Morning tea (Note - conference finishes at 12.30pm – lunch not included)

NOTE – Some walking may be required between accommodation and conference venue – please note if you cannot walk any distance so we can accommodate you in the closest hotel.

A. Visit Gawa Christian School. This is a unique Christian school that operates in partnership with the families of Gawa and surrounding homelands on Elcho Island in North-East Arnhem Land.
